Description
Boskoop is a nice village that is mainly known for its floriculture. In the countryside you also walk through Bentwoud, a relatively new nature reserve. Put on your sturdy shoes for a varied walk.
Flora Boskoop
The route starts at Flora Boskoop, a beautiful monumental building from 1932. The accompanying rosarium with dome is also a national monument. Walking along the Zijde you will see some beautiful old buildings. You also pass the former water tower from 1908. On the right you see the old characteristic layout of Boskoop: narrow and extensive plots with nurseries that are separated by ditches.
Bentwoud
On the edge of Boskoop you walk through the Bentwoud, a young forest in which room has also been made for flower-rich grasslands and swamps. With over 800 hectares, this is the largest contiguous forest area in the Randstad. Further on you walk along the footpath through the wide polders. Get some fresh air while enjoying the peace and quiet in the Groene Hart. At Grand Café Roos Eten & Drinken it is time for a terrace.
