You can enjoy a cozy terrace at Het Polderhuis Museum and more. In the museum you will learn more about the history of Westkapelle. Also about the Allied bombing that destroyed part of the sea wall and almost all of Westkapelle on October 3, 1944. Outside the village you walk through forests and fields along the banks of the Westkapelse Kreek that emerged after the bombing. You also walk through the Westkapelse Bos, which was created in the 1950s. Here you will find a beautiful mix of deciduous trees and rugged grasslands. Westkapelle Hoog is an almost 50 meter high tower from 1470. This lighthouse was originally a church tower. A light was set up in 1817, and the accompanying church burned down in 1831.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
