Cycling through Westkapelle and surroundings

The route starts in the middle of Vlissingen. You drive along the beach for a while along the boulevard, and on the other side of the road there are some beautiful old buildings. The cycle path leads you through the Nollebos, a surprising nature reserve. Then you cycle a long way in the shelter behind the high dunes. It is wonderful to cycle here through forests and past meadows. In between you will pass through the pleasant seaside resort of Zoutelande. You can get off at Het Polderhuis, museums & more for a pit stop on the terrace and for an interesting museum visit. On the Zeedijk you can see the Low lighthouse of Westkapelle. Just past Biggekerke you pass through the village forest: this varied nature reserve was created as part of land consolidation and is in full development.
