Walking around Grubbenvorst

The route starts just outside Grubbenvorst. On roads where almost no cars drive, you can make a tour between the meadows and fields. Soon you also walk through some small forest plots. It is wonderfully quiet walking here. Ideal to relax for a day and enjoy the natural beauty. You walk to Grubbenvorst, a beautiful village on the Maas that is easy to explore on foot. First you pass the Our Lady of the Assumption Church. There has been a church here since the fifteenth century. The current building was built after the Second World War, because its predecessor was too damaged by war violence. Take a break at Ice cream parlor Clevers Grubbenvorst, beautifully situated on the village square of this nice town. You walk back to your starting point through the farmlands.
