Cycling through the round hoop, over dikes, along and over the water, past the old villages of Abcoude and Ouderkerk aan de Amstel
You cross the water a few times with a ferry: take some cash with you.
There are quite a few places to eat or drink along the route.
Between Abcoude and Ouderkerk you cross the Holendrecht with a small ferry.
Cross the bridge at Junction 61 and turn right. After a while you will come across a ferry with which you cross the Amstel. Via the other side back to Ouderkerk aan de Amstel.
You will return to junction 61. Cross the bridge again, but now turn left. You come to a number of terraces where you can relax and where you can also have lunch.
Then continue south along the Amstel River. At the Nesserweg there is another ferry. Cross the Amstel here and continue on the other side towards junction 1.
An alternative is not to cross the Amstel. You will now pass nes aan de amstel and you will now (well) pass junctions 29 and 39.
The tour continues further via the river de waver. Once you have passed junction 1, you can quickly cross the waver with a wooden bridge. If you have come via junction 39 you are already on the right (south) side of the waver.
Stay on this (south side) until you reach the stokker bridge. This is at junction 50. Here, at junction 50, the route continues along the north side of the waver. The route ends in Abcoude, where there are also plenty of opportunities to have a drink or something to eat.
