Tour of Nieuw-Vennep, Hoofddorp and Westeinderplassen

Your route starts at Het Tuinhuis in the Historic Garden of Aalsmeer. At Vrouwentroost, you can take a detour to the Fort near Kudelstaart before cycling to De Kwakel. From junction 30, you cycle along the Ringvaart canal, which forms the border between North and South Holland all the way to Bilderdam. It's a wonderfully peaceful place to cycle for miles. Along the way, you'll discover Bovenmolen G (body/remains) from 1810. Together with Ondermolen H, this formed the Zouthuissluisgang (Zouthuis Lock). You cycle via Leimuiden and Burgerveen to Nieuw-Vennep. Around Hoofddorp, there's plenty of natural beauty to discover, such as Park 21, a relatively new nature reserve. Stop off at Museum de Cruquius and then take a loop through the charming village of Heemstede. You cycle back to your starting point via the Prins Bernhardbos and the Haarlemmermeerse Bos.
