Walking through the Musselse Sand

Just below Otterlo it is wonderful to walk through the vast nature of the Veluwe. This route takes you through the Mosselse Zand and the Roekelse Bos.

Camping De Wije Werelt is a contemporary luxury holiday park where you can enjoy a carefree holiday. From here you first walk a bit along the edge of the Otterlose Bos. You get into the rhythm here, while walking between the coniferous trees. A little later you walk from the coniferous forest across the Mosselse Zand. Here you see heathland and a large plain of shifting sand. A unique landscape that is a feast for the eyes.

Roekelse Bos
Further on you walk into the Roekelse Bos. You can fully enjoy the silence here, with a bit of luck you will see a deer between the bushes. About halfway you can make a stopover at Restaurant de Houtzagerij. After a coffee with apple pie or lunch you walk through the woods again for the last part of this route. What a wonderful walk on the Veluwe!
