Description
Kessel is a beautiful village on the Limburg Maas. Put on your walking shoes for a nice walk, where you cross the Maas with a ferry. Suitable for with the kids!
Ferry
First you walk a bit along meadows and fields. The largest part of this loop you walk on an unpaved road. It is nice and quiet here, ideal for a nice chat with your fellow walkers. At junction 9 you cross the Maas. With a ferry: that is always a nice experience, no matter how old you are.
Beautiful Kessel
In Kessel you walk on a beautiful footpath along the Maas. You look out over the rippling water and the boats. Keverberg Castle is a nice excursion. Children can make an exciting treasure hunt here! And afterwards enjoy a refreshment at IJssalon Clevers Kessel, just like you of course. Walking over the Markt you see, among other things, an old water pump and some beautiful monumental buildings. Further on is the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Geboortekerk from 1873, designed by Pierre Cuypers.
