The route starts at the Nette with a magnificent view of the Windmühlenbruch with its white water lilies. It continues along the lake to the Gartzmühle, a former watermill and then over a bridge, from which you have an interesting view over the new riverbed of the Nette. After approx. 200 m you have a beautiful view of the Ferkensbruch with reed borders, dam and fish ladder. A lime tree avenue and the riding school Lüthemühle follow and then the route passes the Pest chapel between the fields and meadows of the nature management farm.

The route then continues along a small stream to the bridge over the Nette, with a view of fields of water lilies, then to the viewing platform of the Bittern project, with a beautiful view over the Wittsee. Then you walk past the Leuther Mühle to the landscape farm Baerlo and back to the starting point.
