Description
The premium hiking route"Meinvennen\\\" is located east of Roermond in the German-Dutch Grenspark Maas-Swalm-Nette. This varied route leads over forest paths, through heathland landscapes with fens, through swamp forests with alder and birch trees and along bogs.
Characteristic are the terrace edges that have been created over thousands of years by the erosion of the primeval river valley of the Meuse. The two brooks Rode Beek and Boschbeek flow on the terraces, which flow into the Roer. The route leads through the woods of the Luzekamp and through the moist areas of Melickerven and Herkenbosscherven. With its flora and fauna, the tour is a wonderful experience for nature lovers in every season.
