Description
From the edge of Zwolle you can take a nice tour along the IJssel and the polders around Zalk and Hattem. A route to get a breath of fresh air and enjoy cultural-historical sights.
Hanseatic city of Hattem
The route starts in Zwolle. You cross the IJssel, after which you enter Hattem. In the picturesque old center you can see, among other things, the fourteenth-century Dijkpoort. You will also pass De Fortuin, a flour mill from 1816. The medieval Andreas Church is located on the Markt.

From Hattem you drive into the polder. On the left you see the northern Veluwe edge, a beautiful view. In Zalk you will pass De Valk, a flour mill from 1860. You can cross a sharp bend in the IJssel with a ferry. The Zalkerveer sails from April 1 to October 31.
