Description

The 121 km long Niers cycle route leads far away from the urban centers through the cultural landscape of the Lower Rhine, along the Niers, which has partly been restored to its natural values.

You can look forward to numerous sights and impressive landscapes along the route. Meadows, poplar and willow trees make their mark on the landscape - hedges, scrub and pollard willows surround the open cultural landscape. With its pools, ditches and old river branches, the floodplains of the Niers are an ideal place for rare animals and plants.
