Description
On Goeree-Overflakkee you can take a nice walk through the countryside. You walk through the Stellebos and along the water of the Zuiderdiep.
Southern Deep
At the edge of the harbour you see Korenlust, a beautiful white corn mill from 1856. Along the water you walk to the Zuiderdiep. This freshwater canal provides sustainable water for local agriculture and residents. From the bridge you have a beautiful view of this area. You walk a bit through the harbour of Stellendam, here many fishing boats moor every day.
North Sea
You walk a short distance along the beach of the Kwade Hoek nature reserve. You have a beautiful view of the North Sea, on the horizon you can see the forests of Voornes Duin. Get some fresh air and enjoy the salty sea air, before you walk back into the forest around the Zuiderdiep. You walk through the polder to the Stellebos. This nature reserve was created in 1978, it is wonderfully quiet walking here.
