On car-free roads you cycle through the polders of the Alblasserwaard, enjoying the high skies. You will also find beautiful old villages here, such as Bleskensgraaf. On the dike along the Lek you look out over the rippling river. You pass De Liefde, a corn mill from 1893. On the Molenkade just below Groot-Ammers you see four polder mills; three date back to the sixteenth century. In Ottoland you pass the Reformed Church from 1732 and several seventeenth-century farms. In the authentic Giessen-Oudekerk you also seem to cycle back in time. On the river Giessen you pass Museum De Koperen Knop. Here you can learn more about the history of the Alblasserwaard.
