Get a breath of fresh air in the Alblasserwaard

This cycle route starts at De Krom Cozy food and drinks. You drive through the polders of the Alblasserwaard on low-traffic roads, enjoying the high skies. You will also find beautiful old villages here, such as Bleskensgraaf. On the dike along the Lek you look out over the rippling river. You pass De Liefde, a flour mill from 1893. On the Molenkade just below Groot-Ammers you see four polder mills; three still date from the sixteenth century. In Ottoland you will pass the Reformed Church from 1732 and several seventeenth-century farms. You also seem to be cycling back in time in the authentic Giessen-Oudekerk. On the river Giessen you will pass Museum De Koperen Knop. Here you will learn more about the history of the Alblasserwaard.
