The beautiful coast of Walcheren

You start in the Manteling. Hardly anywhere else in Europe do deciduous trees grow so close to the coast as here. But with a price: many trees are no higher than one meter. Their wings are clipped by the cutting westerly wind and the drifting salt. Westhove Castle dates from the thirteenth century. There is a reconstructed motte-and-bailey castle on the vliedberg. In the seaside resort of Domburg you can enjoy the historic atmosphere. On the Markt, for example, you can see the fifteenth-century Reformed Church. The town hall from 1667 is also located here. A little later you drive through the polders. You won't have any trouble switching back here. In Vrouwenpolder you will pass the Pelgrimskerk from 1622.
