Description
South Beveland is perfect for a day of cycling. You will find plenty of vastness, natural beauty and peace. You will also pass through some charming old villages.
Eastern Scheldt
On the left are the polders with their grassy meadows and orchards. You will have no trouble switching back here.
Channel
There are still a few characteristic villages on Zuid-Beveland. For example, you pass through 's-Heer Hendrikskinderen, this village is located on the same spur of a creek ridge on which Goes was also built. Here you see the church tower of the Reformed Church, it is nicknamed the Peperbus. Further on you pass through Schore, among other places. The village church was destroyed here in 1940 during the Battle of Zeeland.
