Cross the Veluwe from Vierhouten

Your route starts at Hotel Restaurant De Vossenberg. Vierhouten is completely surrounded by forests. In the Vierhouter Bos you will find plenty of variety. Because the best trunks were cleared for wood here for centuries, the whimsical oaks were left standing. You will also see majestic beech trees that are more than 200 years old. You will cycle along the Gortelse Heide for a while, after which you will cycle into the dense forests of the Kroondomein. The route takes you out of the Veluwe for a while, where you will cycle through some beautiful neighborhoods of Apeldoorn. Then you will cycle back into the forests of the Veluwe, to the Asselse Heide. You will pass through Hoog-Soeren, a town that has a protected village view because of its authentic historical appearance. The last part of the route you will cycle over the gently rolling Elspeetse Heide.
