Cross the Veluwe from Vierhouten

Your route starts at Hotel Restaurant De Vossenberg. Vierhouten is completely surrounded by forests. You will find plenty of variety in the Vierhouter Bos. Because the best trunks for wood were felled here for centuries, the irregular oak trees remained standing. You will also see majestic beech trees that are more than 200 years old. You cycle briefly along the Gortelse Heide, after which you enter the dense forests of the Kroondomein. The route takes you out of the Veluwe for a while, where you drive through some beautiful neighborhoods of Apeldoorn. Then you cycle back into the woods of the Veluwe, to the Asselse Heide. You pass through Hoog-Soeren, a town that has a protected village view because of its authentic historical appearance. The last part of the route you cycle over the gently sloping Elspeetse Heide.
