Description
This route takes you through the rolling countryside of Geleen. You walk through the Geleenbeek valley and the lands between Spaubeek and Beek. An area where you will find a lot of history.
Geleenbeek valley
You walk here along pristine grasslands, from the path you have a beautiful view of the green slopes of the Sweikhuizerberg. On the other side of the stream you see a large farm that was once part of Kasteel Sint Jansgeleen.
Teutonic Order
You walk on footpaths between meadows and fields through the hills. Occasionally you will see an orchard. It is wonderfully quiet walking here, ideal for a relaxing day.
