SIGNAGE:
It is confusing on a number of points. I myself went wrong 3x (!) because of that confusion. Once it was my own fault, the other times it was because of the signage. The first time was in the center of Esch, near the church. Here the route sends you to the left, but immediately on the other side I saw an arrow that sent me in a different direction. YOU MUST TURN LEFT HERE! Node 1 is on the corner and it sends you the other way!
When you get to De Beerze there is also some confusion. You can cross through a lock, but there is no sign indicating whether you have to cross or not. DO NOT CROSS! De Beerze splits further on and you have to stay on this side.
The last problem came at junction 15. Here I walked straight ahead (I did see the junction!) but you have to turn left here.
PARKING:
I had parked my car at the starting point of this route, at the Action in Boxtel, an excellent starting point.
DIRECTIONS:
The route starts in a nice city park, with a large pond and an animal park with llamas and deer. The walk to Esch is also pleasant and the section along De Beerze is a nice prelude to a good stretch in and around Nergena, an agricultural area. This continues until you arrive in Boxtel again and it is an alternation of paved and unpaved roads where you also walk a part along the Kleine Aa. That was not the best passable road, by the way: when I walked there it was full of horse shit and moles had wreaked havoc, moreover, it is not clearly indicated in which direction you should walk.
