Near Eibergen the Achterhoek through

Your route starts at Boerderijappartementen & Camping 't Katreel. In the sparsely populated Achterhoek it is wonderful to cycle through the coulisse landscape of agricultural lands, woods and streams. Nice to downshift! You will pass through the mixed forests on Landgoed Het Lankheet. On the drifting sands there are old pine trees, among other things. Further on you will pass De Sfeer van Weleer, a private local history museum in an old barn from 1860. Rekken is a beautiful village on the Berkel, you will see several authentic Saxon farms here. You will also pass the Piepermolen, a corn mill from 1796. Just after you have crossed the Berkel, you will pass the Kruidenhof in Mallum. You will also see a beautiful monumental half-timbered barn that once belonged to the Mallum manor, now a labyrinth has been created here by a landscape artist.
