Description
Utrecht, Vianen, forts and waterways: on this route, as a lover of Dutch cultural history, you will get your money's worth. You will see one beautiful monument after another. You will also enjoy the special natural beauty. On the Leidse Rijn you will pass the large building of the Royal Dutch Mint, where Dutch Euro coins are minted. You will enter the historic Vianen via the beautiful Lekpoort. You will pass Fort Everdingen and the Werk aan het Spoel fortifications. On the Eiland van Schalkwijk you will drive past Werk aan de Groeneweg, just past Houten you will see the former Fort Rijnauwen. Fort Voordorp is the last attraction on this beautiful route.
