Description
On the dike along the Markermeer you can get a breath of fresh air and enjoy the Dutch panoramas. You pass through two villages: Uitdam and Holysloot. Put on waterproof shoes!
Dammer Die
Walking past ditches, grasslands and reed beds you reach Uitdam. A small but beautiful village. Just before you walk out of the Dorpsstraat, you will see a bell jar church on the left behind the green gate. Then you walk a few kilometers over the dike. What a breath of fresh air!

Walking through the meadows it will take you little effort to switch back. How wonderfully quiet it is under those high Dutch skies! After a while you see Holysloot appear on the horizon. This picturesque village is somewhat isolated and therefore has many well-preserved old houses. At Junction 22, take a short left turn to take a look at the village church.
