This route takes you through the southern part of the Hoge Veluwe. This beautiful national park was founded in 1935 by the Dutch state with the purchase of the hunting grounds from the couple Kröller-Müller.
Sinkhole
The entrance gate to the Hoge Veluwe dates from 1920 and is a national monument. First you walk into the woods. There are also some reclamations here, besides forest you will also find hedgerows, meadows and sheep herds. Further on you walk through the Zinkgat, one of the most beautiful sub-areas in this national park.
Quiet
The Oud-Reemsterveld is a vast heathland. You have beautiful views here, while you walk for a long time between heather and sparse grassland. The inhabited world seems many kilometers away here, also because it is so quiet. A nice place to clear your head! You walk the last part of the route through the Reemsterbos. This varied forest serves as a resting place for large game.
