Description
On the Veluwe you drive many kilometers through the woods. In between you pass through Otterlo and Hoenderloo, but otherwise it is forest, forest, forest. Wonderful to relax for a day.
Otterlo
Today you mainly drive through the woods. Occasionally you have views over the heath and meadows, for example when you cycle through the agricultural enclave of Oud-Reemst. After a while you reach Otterlo. From the cozy Dorpsstraat you can see the beautiful Reformed Church, which partly dates from the thirteenth century. Further on is L56: The Battle of Otterlo.
Loenense Bos
After driving through the woods for a while, Hoenderloo is the next village on your route. At junction 13 there is a monumental well from 1843. You cycle around the village between the meadows, and soon you drive along a car-free road into the rolling Deelerwoud. L61 from the Liberation Route is located at the Woeste Hoeve. Then you cycle through the Loenense Bos. The further you drive into the forest, the quieter it becomes, wonderful!
