Liessel / Galgeberg

I was able to park my car at the official starting point of this route, but you can also continue on the unpaved road for a while because then you come to something that looks more like a real parking lot. 

DIRECTIONS:

The Liesselse Bossen are popular with walkers, but also with MTB riders. There are numerous narrow, winding paths here, but the hiking trails are separate from the MTB route. I like a bit of wriggling, but that's extreme here. This does not detract from the beauty and tranquility of the area. The paths are well maintained, so you can walk a lot here.

SIGNAGE:

It is sometimes confusing, because the route sometimes takes you in circles. There is one point where you will see four signposts, but don't let that fool you. And once in a while a sign was placed in such a way that I almost missed it. A number of walking routes have been put together for the Liesselse Bossen and this junction route largely covers (parts of) those routes.
