Description
You will find plenty of variety in the Drents-Friese Wold National Park. Great for a day of cycling. At the edges you pass through interesting villages such as Appelscha and Diever.
Watchtower The Drents-Friese Wold is not only one of the largest contiguous nature areas in the Netherlands, but certainly also one of the quietest. Sometimes you only hear the rustling of your trouser leg along your chain guard. On the Aekingerzand you have beautiful views from the watchtower. Further on is the Grenspoel, a fen on the border of Drenthe and Friesland.
Diever At Hotel Restaurant De Wapser Herberg you can get off for a break on the cozy terrace. In the Drenthe countryside you can still see beautiful old Saxon farms. A little later you drive through Diever. At the village green you can see the Schultehuis, which dates from 1604. The house has been preserved in its original state. The Sint-Pancratius Church is considered one of the most beautiful churches in Drenthe. Finally, you drive through the Drents-Friese Wold again. To enjoy!
