South of the village of Erp you walk through the Aa valley and the Hurkske nature reserve. A beautiful route full of variety and natural beauty, what more could you want?
The AA
You walk a long way along the Aa. On the banks of this stream you will see reed collars and pristine grasslands. What a beautiful spot!
The Hurkske
The route takes you through the hamlets of Keldonk and De Laren, before you enter the Hurkske. This forest was planted between 1900 and 1930 on a cultivated heathland. Here you walk between conifers such as black pine, Norway spruce and Douglas fir. Deciduous trees such as American oak also grow here. What a silence! Ideal for leaving the daily routine behind.
