In the South Holland river delta you cycle along various waterways. You pass through some old ports, such as Dordrecht and Rotterdam. That will be a day of enjoying the many sights.
Water bus
From EuroParcs Resort De Biesbosch you are the first to drive to the historic harbor of Dordrecht. You can see here, among other things, the fifteenth-century Grote Kerk. Because the tower soon turned out to be leaning, no spire was built on it. With a water bus you cross the Oude Maas and drive over the dike to the harbor of Alblasserdam. Then you cross the Nieuwe Maas and follow the course of this river to Rotterdam.
Maastoren
In Rotterdam old and new architecture go hand in hand. In the city center you can see the Oude Haven, the famous Cube Houses and the new Markthal. The Maastoren, at 165 meters, is the tallest building in the Netherlands at the Kop van Zuid. Further on you drive along the natural banks of the Oude Maas and cross the river to the harbor of Puttershoek. Just outside the village is De Lelie, a corn mill from 1836.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
