Waxing Moon Cycle along old dikes past vast fields and fields. Get a breath of fresh air in a wide landscape, the ideal way to quickly shake off your daily routine. With a ferry you cross the Merwede to the Biesbosch National Park. Just before junction 4 you pass the Waxing Moon. Climb the hill to discover this work of art.
Biesbosch Museum After driving along the banks of the Merwede for a while, you will pass Fort Steurgat, dating from 1881. This is the southernmost fort of the New Dutch Waterline. You will drive through the polders on car-free roads. What peace and space! In the Biesbosch Museum you will learn how special the Biesbosch is. On the other side of the Merwede you will drive a bit through the Dutch part of this national park.
