Cycling along fortifications from the Grebbelinie

At Restaurant Grebbelounge you can enjoy something delicious and the cultural history. You are here at the Fort aan de Buursteeg, one of the largest forts on the Grebbelinie. Further on you will pass another fortification: the Linie van de Juffrouwwijk. A little later you will drive through the Amerongse Bos, one of the oldest forests on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. On the dike along the Rhine you can blow out, while enjoying beautiful views. You drive along the Grebbeberg. Here you can get off to climb to the King's Table for a majestic view. Further on you will pass the Grebbesluis and the associated eighteenth-century earthen fortifications. On the right you look out over the bird-rich nature reserve De Blauwe Kamer. Just past Wageningen you drive through the forests of the Veluwe.
