Cycling past fortifications from the Grebbe Line

At Restaurant Grebbelounge you can enjoy something tasty and the cultural history. You are here at Fort aan de Buursteeg, one of the largest forts on the Grebbe Line. Further on you will pass another fortification: the Line of the Juffrouwwijk. A little later you drive through the Amerongse Bos, one of the oldest forests on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. You can get a breath of fresh air on the dike along the Rhine while enjoying beautiful views. You drive under the Grebbeberg. Here you can get off and climb to the King's Table for a majestic view. Further on you will pass the Grebbesluis and the associated eighteenth-century earthen defenses. On the right you look out over the bird-rich nature reserve De Blauwe Kamer. Just past Wageningen you drive through the forests of the Veluwe.
