Schouwen-Duiveland, rich in natural beauty

At Schouwen-Duiveland you can experience Zeeland nature at its best. You pass the Oosterschelde National Park and through various nature reserves such as the Prunjepolder and the forests of Westerschouwen.

Shell corner
From the starting point you can immediately enjoy nature for many kilometers. You drive along the Prunje, the oldest polder on the island. The former swamp has been returned to nature thanks to the 'Plan Tureluur' and is now a true bird paradise. The Schelphoek is a beautiful creek area that emerged from one of the largest dike breaches during the flood disaster in 1953. The Plompetoren is a former church tower from 1468. From the top you have a unique panorama.

Zierikzee
You drive through Boswachterij Westerschouwen, the largest forest in Zeeland. Then you drive through the picturesque Burgh. You pass the centuries-old ring and Museum de Burghse Schoole. On the Ring in Noordwelle you can feel the atmosphere of times gone by, where you can see, among other things, the fifteenth-century village church. You drive back to the starting point via the Prunjepolder and Zierikzee.
