Views from the Brouwersdam

Fancy a day of island hopping? From Schouwen-Duiveland you drive over the Brouwersdam to Goeree-Overflakkee. And back. A beautiful day full of fresh air. The cycle path first leads you through the Vroongronden, a beautiful nature reserve with dune grasslands, moist soils and creeks. You will pass the Do and Activity Center Ecoscope, a nice stop off. Like many other Zeeland villages, Renesse is also built around a ring. Here you will see some beautiful buildings and the sixteenth-century James Church. The Brouwersdam was completed in 1971 and is the seventh structure of the Delta Works. On the six and a half kilometer long dam you can get a breath of fresh air while enjoying beautiful views of the North Sea and the Grevelingenmeer.
