Walking through Epen and surroundings

Cycling in South Limburg means enjoying the special cultural history of a unique part of the Netherlands. Occasionally it is a bit of a climb, but the beautiful panoramas make your effort more than worth it. The Geuldal is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Netherlands: ideal for exploring on foot. The footpath leads you through the flowery meadows. Occasionally you walk a bit along a Geulmeander. You climb to the Elzetter forest where you walk under the cooling canopy of oak, birch and beech. Occasionally you have beautiful views of the area. You pass Camping and restaurant Rozenhof, an ideal stopover at any time of the year. At the Geul you see the Volmolen, which dates from 1882. In Plaat you pass the Eperhuis, a beautiful eighteenth-century farm.
