Walking through Epen and surroundings

Walking in South Limburg means enjoying the special cultural history of a unique part of the Netherlands. The Geul valley is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Netherlands: ideal to explore on foot. The footpath leads you through the flowery meadows. Every now and then you walk along a Geul meander. You climb to the Elzetterbos where you walk under the cooling canopy of oaks, birches and beeches. Every now and then you have beautiful views of the area. You pass Camping De Rozenhof, an ideal stopover in any season. In Brasserie 12 on the campsite, you can enjoy a well-deserved snack and drink during your rest moment. On the Geul you can see the Volmolen, it dates from 1882. In Plaat you pass the Eperhuis, a beautiful eighteenth-century farm.
