The Leinenradweg runs through the towns of Wegscheid, Breitenberg and Sonnen along the border with the Austrian Mühlviertel. Numerous sights and cozy places to relax make this tour an experience.
Starting on the Leinenradweg is possible anywhere. The route description starts in Breitenberg. Here you will find the first sights: the baroque parish church of St. Raymund and the historic, waterwheel-driven hammer forge Blössl. The Breitenberg weaving museum is located on the route to Sonnen. After a short while you arrive in the parish village of Sonnen, which has an ornate church. Another highlight is a detour to the romantic Sonnener Hochmoor"Wilde Aue\\\". Then it goes over the plateau at Stüblhäuser to the"Sag-Kapelle\\\". Via Kasberg you will quickly reach the Markt Wegscheid. From Wegschied you drive via Meßnerschlag along the border between Bavaria and Austria to Kohlstatt. From here the Leinenweg runs for 7 km across Austrian territory.
