The Danube Panorama Road

The Donau-Panoramaweg is the continuation of the Donausteig on the Bavarian side from Passau and runs to Kelheim. In the Passau region the road almost always takes you along the Danube, between Hofkirchen and Vilshofen the Planetenweg also runs along the route and you get an impression of the distances in the solar system. On the way to Vilshofen, a detour to the Hilgartsberg castle ruins is worthwhile, where you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Danube. The route continues to the three-river town of Vilshofen on the Bavarian Danube. The charming town has a lot to offer - from a cultural experience with high-quality events and the Schweiklberg monastery with Africa Museum to a real Bavarian lifestyle with beer from the local brewery.
