Discover a beautiful old estate that has been beautifully preserved and walk across the free game track. Bring binoculars, you never know!
Estate Tongeren
First enjoy a pancake at the cozy Pannenkoekenrestaurant De Ossenstal and then put on your hiking boots. You are in the middle of the vast Veluwe forests, so it is immediately beautiful as soon as you set off. You walk through the relatively young coniferous forest plantations of the Eperholt to Landgoed Tongeren, one of the largest privately owned estates in the Netherlands. It still has an old, small-scale cultural landscape that has been beautifully preserved.
Majuba
In the woods it is wonderful to walk along the fragrant conifers. It's nice and quiet on the Veluwe! A little later you walk through Majuba nature reserve, one of the sloping forest areas in the outskirts of Epe that are part of the free game track. So you always have a chance to see big game here, exciting! Majuba doesn't sound very Dutch: it was named by a previous owner after a mountain in South Africa.
