After a cup of coffee on the terrace of Pannenkoekenrestaurant De Ossenstal, you get on your bike. You will soon cycle past the De Dellen estate. From 1851 onwards, Professor Buys Ballot (correctly: the meteorologist and founder of the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute) planted De Dellen with oak, beech and Norway spruce. The estate has been owned by the Geldersch Landschap since 1929. You also cycle through the Renderkcliffs, with considerable height differences. A herd of sheep regularly graze here. The forests here seem endless: you cycle through them for miles. A little later you can enjoy beautiful views on the rolling Elspeetse Heide. This area is also one of the few heathlands that are still maintained by grazing.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
