Description
There is a lot to discover on the northern edge of the Veluwe. You drive straight into the rural countryside, a nice change from the forests of the Veluwe!
IJsselvliedt estate
From your starting point just above Epe, you immediately dive into the forests of the Veluwe. You cycle via the De Dellen, Kamperklippen and the Zwolse forest to Wezep. On the edge of Wezep is the IJsselvliedt Estate, where the park is decorated in French style. The estate dates from 1650, the current country house was built in 1824 in neoclassical style. Then you take a nice tour through the rural countryside between the Veluwe and the Veluwemeer.
Oldebroekse Heide
A little further on you will see the Zwaluwenburg, an 18th century country house in Baroque style, six rooms of which are used as a gallery. You can take beautiful walks around the castle. At the beginning of the driveway is the'A.Vogel Garden\\\', where medicinal plants are grown. This garden is free to enter. You drive back via the Oldebroekse Heide. Enjoy a delicious pancake at Pannenkoekenrestaurant De Ossenstal. You must be hungry by now!
