Cycling through Tilburg and the border forests

In the border forests south of Tilburg you can imagine yourself in another world. How quiet it is here! In Tilburg itself you will pass several sights.

Paradise Bridge
From Uitspanning & Camping Breehees you can easily drive to Landgoed Gorp en Roovert. Here you will find a mix of agricultural land and lots of old forest. In Gorp you will see a number of beautiful monumental farms and a nineteenth-century hunting lodge. Just past junction 50 you cross the Rovertse Leij via the Paradijsbrug. A name that does justice to this beautiful spot! The adjacent Nieuwkerk Estate is also wonderful for cycling on the path between the woods.

From Alphen you drive on the Bels Lijntje: the former railway between Tilburg and Turnhout. Enjoy relaxing kilometers through the greenery! In Riel you take a refreshing break at Den Overstap, after which you cycle back onto the Bels Lijntje. You drive to the center of Tilburg via the old Bredaseweg. Here you will see, among other things, the white Palace-Council House from 1849 of King Willem II. You will also pass the cozy, beautifully renovated Piushaven.
