Walking on the Gorp and Roovert estate

Just below Tilburg lies the vast Landgoed Gorp en Roovert. An ideal nature reserve to explore on foot. Put on your walking shoes and experience the silence!

Bankven
The route starts at Uitspanning & Camping Breehees. You will soon pass the Bankven, an idyllic spot. Through a mosaic of fields, grasslands and forests you walk towards the border with Belgium. The closer you get to this border, the quieter it becomes. It will come as no surprise that there was a lot of smuggling here until the sixties of the last century!

Paradise Bridge
In the hamlet of Gorp you pass a number of beautiful monumental farms. You also pass the nineteenth-century hunting lodge that the then lord of the manor had built here. At junction 92 you cross the Rovertse Leij via the Paradijsbrug. You really feel like you are in paradise here, what a beautiful spot! Through the fields you walk back to Uitspanning & Camping Breehees. Time for a drink on a terrace!
