It is beautiful to cycle through the Brabant countryside around Chaam. From Landgoed Valkenberg you drive to the centuries-old Prinsenbos. Then you cycle through the Chaamse Bossen. This was once a rugged area with sand drifts and wet heath, but between 1900 and 1935 the area was reclaimed, including by planting Scots pine. You make a shortcut through Alphen, after which you drive south past a mix of grasslands and fields. At Brasserie Aai & Vlaai you can stop for a coffee with a fresh pastry or a delicious lunch. A little later you will meet the village of Baarle, which partly consists of Belgian enclaves: Baarle-Hertog. The Dutch part is called - you guessed it - Baarle-Nassau. Finally, you pass through the Strijbeekse Heide and Luchtenburg, a sixteenth-century estate.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
