Cycling along the Maas near Den Bosch is wonderful. You will find peace, space and natural beauty. In Kerkdriel and Alem you can visit nice museums.
Roof tile museum
Cross the Maas from Café restaurant Treurenburg. From the dike you look out over the floodplains and the river. In Kerkdriel you can visit the Driels Museum, which is housed in a beautiful old school building. You will learn more about the local history here. Further on you pass Alem, a village on an island in the Meuse. You pass the former Reformed Church from 1640, which today houses a roof tile museum.
Ferry
With a nostalgic ferry you cross the Maas again. On car-free roads you drive through the sparsely populated polder between vast grasslands and fields. Get a breath of fresh air while enjoying the silence. You won't have any trouble switching back here. Further on you drive along the Rosmalense Plas, a leafy recreation area that originated from a sand quarry. You cycle back to Café restaurant Treurenburg along the Koornwaard nature reserve. Terrace!
