Zoutelande is a beautiful and cozy old village. Ideal for exploring on foot. In the countryside you walk through the wooded dunes.
Catherine's Church
From the dune tops you have a beautiful view over the village, the beach and the sea. At the ring road you will see the Catharina Church. The oldest parts of the tower date back to the thirteenth century. Most of the current church dates from 1738. Further in the village is the Zoutelande, a flour mill from 1862.
Westland Creek
You walk a bit through the Kustlicht, a green holiday park. A little later you walk behind the dune in the lee to the Westlandse Kreek. It was created after the dike of Westkapelle was destroyed in a bombing raid during the Second World War. From the footpath you have a beautiful view over the water. You walk back over the dune tops to the starting point. What a nice footpath!
