Enjoy the coast of Walcheren

Between Vlissingen and Westkapelle lies one of the most beautiful coastal areas of the Netherlands. No wonder this area is nicknamed the Zeeland Riviera. Jump on the saddle and come and enjoy a day here.

Flushing
The route starts in the Nollebos, a nature reserve on the outskirts of Vlissingen. On the boulevard you drive a bit along the beach. A little later you drive through the Walcherse polders. You will find peace and space here, the ideal combination to recharge the battery. After a while you reach Grijpskerke. Here you see't Welvaaren, a corn mill from 1801. In Oostkapelle you pass the Willibrord Church from 1400.

Seawall
From the Zeedijk you have a beautiful view over the North Sea, but also over Westkapelle. In the distance you can see the Westkapelle Hoog. This almost 50 meter high tower from 1470 originally served as a church tower. In 1817 a light was set up, in 1831 the accompanying church burned down. You drive through the elongated dune forest along the coastal strip via Zoutelande back to the Nollebos.
