Description
Around Schoorl you can make a beautiful bike ride with two faces. First you drive many kilometers through the gently sloping Schoorlse Duinen, where you can get a breath of fresh air. The Schoorlse Duinen are the highest and widest dunes in the Netherlands. You then cycle through the vast landscape of several ancient polders. A century ago there was one large sandpit here, now you can enjoy a varied landscape of forest and dunes in the Schoorl dunes. In June and July many thousands of pine orchids form a white carpet here.
