The approx. 97 km long circuit runs from Passau to Vilshofen and on to Aldersbach, from where a scenic section leads to Ortenburg, Fürstenzell, Ruhstorf ad Rott, Neuhaus am Inn and Neuburg am Inn. This tour is best in spring and autumn.
The start of this cycling tour is at the train station of Passau. You drive on the right bank of the Danube upstream in the direction of Kachlet, cross the river there and continue on the Donau-Radweg to Windorf and on to Vilshofen. From there the route takes the Vilstal-Radweg to Aldersbach. You continue cycling via Aidenbach and Beutelsbach to Ortenburg, Fürstenzell, Engertsham and Sulzbach. From there it is not far to the border town of Neuhaus am Inn. You can now choose the Inn-Radweg back to Passau or a route via the baroque town of Schärding (Austria) on the right bank of the Inn. If you want to visit the pilgrimage churches of Grongörgen and Sammarei, turn right in Untertillbach and drive via Haarbach to Parschalling to get back on the main route.
