Put on your sturdy shoes for a long walk through the Maasduinen National Park. You will find plenty of peace and quiet in this unique nature reserve, ideal if you want to relax for a day. You will soon pass the Nooit Gedacht, a flour mill from 1958. Then you walk onto the Maasduinen. The river dunes are almost all covered with forest. In the middle of the Afferdense Duinen you will pass a twelve-metre high lookout tower. From the top you have a beautiful view. On the edge of the Bleijenbeek Estate you will pass a castle ruin. The building was destroyed in February 1945 in an RAF bombing raid.
