Put on your sturdy shoes for a long walk through the Maasduinen National Park. In this unique nature reserve you will find plenty of peace and quiet, ideal if you want to relax for a day. You will soon pass the Nooit Gedacht, a flour mill from 1958. Then you walk up the Maasduinen. The river dunes are almost all covered with forest. In the middle of the Afferdense Duinen you will pass a twelve meter high watchtower. From the top you have a beautiful view. On the edge of Landgoed Bleijenbeek you will pass a castle ruin. The building was destroyed in a bombing raid by the RAF in February 1945.
