Route through Wielsbeke

Between Mandel and Leie : a cycling tour of 25 km with start and finish at the church square in Sint-Bavostraat in Sint-Baafs-Vijve (Wielsbeke - West Flanders).

There is ample parking space at the starting point with the beautiful village center nearby (monumental church, André Demedts museum, picnic area with a beautiful view of a Leie meander and the green fields). Along the Jaagpad along the Leie we cycle to the center of Wielsbeke with a passage past the castle (town hall) on the Hernieuwenburg domain. We continue cycling via rural roads to Oostrozebeke, the sports and village center with a few drinks and eateries. The tour continues along the strongly meandering Mandel and enjoys the beautiful green fields. In this way we return to Sint-Baafs-Vijve past fruit fields and again the Mandel. From there we have a view of the village center of Wakken. A little further in the direction of Sint-Baafs-Vijve, we again notice the Leie on the Jaagpad and on the other side the village of Sint-Eloois-Vijve (Waregem). We return to the starting point via a back road.
