The Kasteelse Bossen are best explored on foot. Wear sturdy shoes for a nice walk through this nature reserve. You also pass through the church village of Melderslo. At Parkhotel Horst you can enjoy a terrace with a coffee and a pastry before you set off. You immediately walk into the Kasteelse Bossen. The stately avenues remind you of the time when this beautiful area was still an estate. After a while you walk on car-free roads through the countryside with its grassy fields and fields. In Melderslo you will pass Museum de Locht. Then you walk back into the Kasteelse Bossen. You pass the ruins of Ter Horst Castle, a castle that was built in the early fourteenth century. What a picture!
